We have just completed adding and testing two more shipping modules to our additional shipping options plugin.

Users in Canada now can use Canada Post and across the pond the Brits now have Royal Mail as an option.

SEO friendly URL’s

Due to WordPress AND osCommerce having very different ways to handle URL’s, getting the SEO URL’s set up has been a task all unto itself (translation “a pain in the a###”).

BUT, my main man Isnain never says die, and he is in final testing mode right now and we believe he has cracked it.

OK!!! we have eventually started in earnest the monumental task of documenting the many features of our plugin. We still have a lot more to add but have added about 30 new knowledgebase articles.

osCommerce migration service.

We have had a lot of requests from people with existing osCommerce stores asking how to “migrate” all their data / products etc into WP Online Store without having to start again.

So many requests in fact that we are looking into building a migration tool for this. Now this may take a little while as creating an auto tool that can migrate both versions 2.3.1 AND 2.2 seamlessly is a bit of a tall order, but they said that about merging WordPress and osCommerce (i guess we just don’t listen..lol).

So in the interim we are offering a new migration service.
Basically we will migrate all your database, images, products, configuration settings etc from your old OSC site to you new shiny WPOLSD site.

Costs for us to do this are from OSC Vesion 2.3.1 $89.00 and from OSC version 2.2 $135.00 More details…

New Help Center.

Sorry for the flip flopping with the support systems we use (switching forums etc). but we are basically trying to get you the best support system we can as we really want to offer good support for our product.

That being said, we will be discontinuing the use of the Zend Desk ticket system on Thursday Nov 10th. it will be replaced by the feature rich Kayoto Help Center which has a ton more cool features like live chat and remote PC access (in case we need to fix your issues remotely).

Bank transfers now added to payment module

Physical & virtual products

WP Online Store not only lets you sell regular physical products. But also allows you to sell virtual / downloadable products.

This means you can sell subscriptions, digital products (music, video, ebooks), and even services easily. All products are provided instantly via a link after payment.

You can even specify how many times the product can be downloaded by the customer.
